Face wash is an all-important, first step to any skin care regime. Washing the face, cleanses the skin from built up impurities and gives us the smooth, healthy skin we desire. Face washes come in a variety of forms; foaming face wash, gel face wash, liquid face wash and more.

When you are purchasing a face wash you need to ensure that the product will not irritate your skin. You are going to use this product daily, so you should test the face wash on your skin before purchase.

The best way to do this is get a sample, or special offer. Sometimes you can get small samples of a skin care product online, or the company may be promoting the product. Either way, it is best to test these small amounts of the product before you purchase the entire bottle.

Face washes may also include ingredients called salicylic acid or benzoyl peroxide. These types of face washes are good for those who may suffer from acne as they help the prevention of acne, and help stop it reoccurring.

Those with sensitive skin should purchase a face wash that includes a fragrance. Fragrance added face washes can sometimes cause skin irritation and produce an allergic reaction.
